Not Close But Excellent
My husband & I stayed here for 13 nights and were satisfied in every way. The staff was helpful and the food was good. The only drawback was that is is about 1 KM from city centre, but taxis are very reasonable. We paid almost 1,400 EUROS, so if you can book this hotel for prices listed here, I urge you to papmer yourself & grab a great bargain at the same time! |

Initial registering with this hotel was a disaster. The check in staff were very unhelpful and had misread the booking instruction from GTA Hotels. The clerk who dealt with our party told us he was anxious to go off on his lunch break and any errors he'd made were our problem and we must phone our international booking agent from a payphone in the hotel foyer. Eventually after much pressure from us they allowed us to use their hotel phone which was when we discovered that the errors were all their's. Another equally unhelpful girl then booked us in correctly.
During our stay there we perceived a less than helpful attitude from about eight members of the hotell staff. The only person with a good attitude was the waitress in the retaurant.
The hotel itself was good quality clean and comfortable, a little way out of Seville but taxis were cheap.
The buffet breakfast was fine but the evening meal was fairly expensive and amateurish.
Costs were reasonable and I feel it would be worth staying there if you are confident in your abilty to persuade their reluctant staff to do their jobs properly. |

"A very glam hotel"
Stayed here on our first night ,31Oct ,,as we arrived in Seville after 9p.m and didn`t want to be in the City searching for a Hotel/ somewhere to eat and have a drink. Beautiful and very spacious area downstairs. Had a sandwich in the cafe but what a sandwich! It came with potato wedges, salad, pasta and 2 dipping sauces- all for 5 euros! Then relaxing drinks in the Piano bar , again reasonably priced. Room very pleasant , paid 12 euros for breakfast but didn`t need to eat again until evening. Hubby enjoyed the short stroll to see Real Betis ground. Why do fellas like looking at football grounds?? I `ve been to about 8!
Walked to the city to our next hotel - wished we had taken one of the many taxis outside. We paid £46 for a double - there are smoking and non smoking rooms and really enjoyed staying there. Went to the next hotel worried that we would be disappointed but ......

"Great hotel for the price"
Clean, very nice hotel. My wife does not like to walk, so we caught the bus (#34) into the main part of town. It's pretty convenient, as the bus stop is less than a block away, and there is a bus every 30-60 minutes (0.50 euro/one way). Or you can catch a taxi for about 6 euro. I am pleased with our stay, it is a 4 star hotel at a 2 star price. Go to their website for reservations.

"Great!"
Great hotel: modern and impressive.
Rooms are large and very comfortable. The hotel has a large and beautiful swimming pool with solarium. Also breakfast was very good and with plenty of things to choose from.
Staff are friendly and very helpful with everything.
It is perfectly connected to city centre by bus (ticket is € 1) and very close to Lopez stadium of Betis soccer team (if you like soccer that's a great plus).
All in all it is really "luxury" and absolutely to recommend!

"Good Hotel"
Just returned from Seville. Can recommend the Silken Al Andalus hotel as a grade 4 plus. Service is good and staff are friendly. Check out the buffet - both for breakfast and dinner. Distance from the Centro is an advantage as we enjoyed the peace and quiet. Ask for a room on the higher floors. Also, check out the shopping in Seville where you will get real value compared to the 'Rip-off' prices in Ireland.

"Bargain break at a great hotel"
Visited this hotel from 7th to 10th November 2005 and was immediately impressed. The rooms, level of service, general housekeeping were as one would expect of a 4 star establishment. Not forgetting its swanky entrance foyer, efficient and friendly reception. There are three restaurants and our breakfast (served in the smaller of the three) overlooked a beautiful courtyard. Food was excellent - served in buffet style, offering a good choice of dishes which were replenished regularly. The pool was closed (time of year) but one can imagine in the Summer it would be a pleasant retreat from the heat. The hotel was in a quiet situation and taxis into town cost 5 euros. Walking briskly took 20 mins. Overall the four days was excellent value for money (40 euros per night for this fab. hotel) and £23 return flight from the UK with Ryanair ... no frills, but no delays or turbulance either! Would certainly visit Seville again and likewise this hotel. It certainly deserves the 4 stars awarded and I urge you to give it a go!

"Four Star Hotel, Travelodge Price"
We stayed here for one night on our two day trip to Seville.Terrific value and quality. 50 euro, room only.
Ideal base for seeing Seville, easy to get to city centre and with a Ryanair penny flight a real value for money weekend.
The hotel is as good as most reports suggest. Rooms, staff, location, facilities excellent. Our only negative was the evening buffet food was not hot enough (luke warm). There were only about 30 people in the restaurant so perhapps the food had sat there and gone cold? However, the salad selection was superb so we pigged out on that. On our next visit we are going to try the italian restaurant in the hotel.
Seville was great, 17 & 18 degrees and people friendly.
We especially liked the Barrio Santa Cruz district and the walk down by the river. Everyone must visit the little pastry shop and confectioneria on the corner of PLAZA de FRANCISCO and AVENIDA LA CONSTITUCION.
Fantastic!

"High Class for Budget Price!"
Amazing hotel! We stayed here for 2 nights and it was by far the best hotel of our trip, and only slightly more expensive than others.
Gorgeous lobby and very large hotel. There were several amenities like an outdoor pool (we couldn't use since it was winter), gym, sauna, spa area, etc.
The room itself was luxurious and very comfortable. Lots of extra goodies included in the room as well like shoe horn and shoe polish, shaving kit, etc! Very clean as well.
The hotel is only a block away from the bus stop (bus #34) which takes you right to the center of Seville in Plaza Nueva.
The hotel had Internet access but at expensive hotel rates. There was a pretty cheap Internet cafe near the Cathedral if you need one (on the second floor of a building).
I can't think of anything wrong with this hotel, definitely excellent!
