"Loved it!"
This hotel is just amazing. Its in a perfect location within the winding streets and not far from the cathedral. The decor in there is lovely and the rooms were clean and spacious. I was impressed with the friendly and helpful staff and their english was very good. The breakfast was very nice and overall loved the hotel and its surroundings. Would definitely recommend staying there.

"impressed"
Stayed at the Murillo Hotel for 4 nights in March and we were delighted with the location. Front rooms can be noisy with the street activity but the rooms were lovely and the cleanliness was terrific. Enjoyed the breakfasts too which were full continental including cheese and ham and everything else you could ask for-incl. great croissants and great coffee for 5 euro great value.will stay there again.

"Perfect Location and Top Notch Service"
Hotel Murillo is located in one of the most beautiful and historic parts of Seville. However, is an older hotel with average rooms containing only a traveler´s necessities: beds with plenty of blankets, a closet, a telephone and a restroom. Regardless, I decided to give Hotel Murillo an excellent rating because in many other aspects it exceeded my expectations. When I arrived, the staff was welcoming and pleasant. They knew I had been traveling for many hours and offered me a glass of milk and cookies before I went to bed. The next day, when I asked where I could find a cobbler to repair a torn sandal, a staff member insisted on taking the sandal himself and returned the next day with a shoe that was like new. He and the other staff member who greeted me went out of their way to help me find an apartment for my three month stay. They talked to neighboring businesses and gathered several phone numbers of people who owned apartments in the area. I am currently living in an apartment very close to Hotel Murillo. When ever I need directions, recommendations on local entertainment, or to use the phone, the hotel staff is STILL more than willing to help me. I would also like to note that the breakfast is satisfying and inexpensive. If you are going to Sevilla and want to stay in a beautiful area and receive EXCELLENT service for a very reasonable price, Hotel Murillo will most definitely suit your needs. However, if you are looking for a 5 star hotel with luxurious accomodations, go elsewhere. This review is directed towards travelers like me--those who value service, location, and people more than down comforters and fancy china.

"What a lovely quirky hotel!!"
We stayed in this hotel for two nights in 2003. We were on holidays on the Algarve and went to Seville by bus. The hotel is right beside the cathedral down a narrow little pedestrianised street. Yes it was hard to find but it was good fun trying to find it and the locals were very helpful. When we checked in we were told to wait and the "boy" would help us with our bags. Next minute there was this gentleman in his 50's standing beside us to take our bag!! He brought us up to the first floor where our room was at the end of the corridor. It was dark and there was a curtained off area at the end of the corridor - very Alfred Hitchcock!!. Yes the room was very spartan but this is the norm in european hotels (unless you go for 4*). The whole area is so Spanish and traditional it is really lovely. Our room was at the back of the hotel and our "balcony" looked out over the rooftops of the sourrounding buildings. What kind of a balcony do people expect in a hotel that is so old. It is the tradional balcony that you see in all old buildings. There was no traffic and all you could hear were the church bells and birds singing. That night when we had dinner we decided to get our bearings and go back to the hotel and then go for a nightcap. By the time we found the hotel down the warren of little street all the bars were closing. Again we found this amusing and still laugh about it to this day. If you decide to stay there it is ideal for a two to three night stay. You will be on holidays so try and get into a holiday mood and go with with flow. Use the tourist buses. It is very cheap and you can do a complete loop and then decide where you would like to go back to. There is so much to see in Seville you'll be so tired by the time you get back to the hotel it wont matter if it's a bit old and tired. We personally enjoyed the breakfast in the lobby. Orange juice, (lovely) hot chocolate, croissaints and jams. If you are looking for a big buffet or hot breakfast this is not the place for you. Yes some of the people in the restaurants and cafe's can be a bit aloof and sometimes rude but probably no different than what people experience in their home countries. If you are not happy with the way your are being treated move on to somewhere else or don't leave a tip.

"What a Treasure Hotel Murillo Apts/and its Staff....."
The Staff here was more than exceptional, they all became our friends. We were here for our son's wedding and other family stayed here as well. The rooms were extremely nice and comfortable. Everything was clean and equiped with more than the typical hotels in U.S. The hotel offered everything from a delicious continental breakfast to having your laundry sent out for you...The location of this hotel is the very BEST in all of Sevilla. It is perfect for all of your sight seeing adventures and enjoying the locals. Any and all requests we had for the staff, were met and carried out better than we imagined. What a great value as well. What you get here for your $ is amazing...This Hotel and it's Staff are fantastic and a great fine!.. The Hotel staff advised us on where and what to do, to the point that we couldn't possibly see all there is to do in this beautiful city.... So we will be returning at least yearly for quite sometime. We look forward to our next trip when we will see and do more of this wonderful, friendly and quaint city... Coming from our home in Las Vegas, believe me when I tell you, we know what great rooms and acomodations should be and this Hotel has the BEST!!!!! Just ENJOY !!!!
