"Becquer Hotel is ideally situated "
Becquer Hotel is ideally situated for all sightseeing. The soundproofing from the double glazing blocks out most street noise, ensuring a good night's sleep. The pool area is generally well-kept but small and there are only 11 sun-loungers -inadequate especailly later in the day when most people have finished sight-seeing. They provide towels so don't bother taking any. The tapas bar under the hotel is good and there is a supermarket close-by for water etc. |

"Excellent!"
I read the reviews on Hotel Becquer on tripadvisor.com and finally decided to book it - no disappointment! Definitely the best one can expect from a city hotel.
Although the architecture looks quite boring and a bit shabby from the outside, the interior with dark wooden furniture, plenty of mirrors and nice carpets looks wonderful.
We had a spacious room which was newly furnished and clean and had all the comfort you could wish for, air conditioning as well. The bathroom was spacious, too. The room was very quiet at night, the beds extremely large and comfortable.
We didn´t have breakfast in the morning.
The hotel is located in a perfect area if you want to get around in Seville. Most of the attractions (cathedral, real alcazar) are only about 15 minutes away. Right in the street where Hotel Becquer is situated, you´ll find some restaurants, fast food chains, coffee shops and even a El Corte Ingles. The main shopping streets (pedestrian) in Sevilla are only 300 m away.
A note on the staff: very charming and helpful.
The location is pleasant, so is the hotel. I highly recommand Hotel Becquer!

"Great hotel"
Our family stayed for two nights at this wonderful hotel in Sevilla. We were joined by friends also traveling with children and everyone loved it. The rooms are large and the air conditioning works great. (important in July in southern Spain) The staff are very helpful and were always willing to direct us to restaurants and attractions. The bathrooms were large and the hardwood floors cool. Everything was spotless. The only drawback is the breakfast buffet. It is over priced and not very good. The attached cafe is much better and has wonderful Tapas at night. Once the cool of the evening sets in it is very pleasant to sit outside at the tables. The staff even arranged a Flamenco show for us all. I would not hesitate to stay ther again. The location is great too, close to every thing you will want to see in Sevilla. It is also very affordable.

"Great Hotel - Very Comfortable"
We just returned from Seville where we stayed for a night at the Hotel Becquer. Of the many hotels we utilized while in Spain I thought the Hotel Becquer was the best.
We had a triple room which was actually a double with an extra bed but even that was very comfortable. The room was spotless with a very large bathroom. Even with the extra bed the room was still a good size. The air conditioning was a big plus and worked very well.
Our reservation included the breakfast buffet which was well stocked with traditional breakfast foods as well as a nice assortment of fruits and breads. This was a very nice way to start the morning.
We had a room with a balcony and view of the street. Although the street was very busy we did not hear anything at night.
The staff were very friendly and were more than happy to help me through speaking in Spanish. They were also able to hold our luggage for the day after we checked out (nearly 10 hours).
The hotel is in a very good location to shopping and the major attractions of the city. Within a very short walk you are able to enjoy the river and many other things.
For those traveling to Spain during the summer let me invite you to take a ride on the river boat. It is a one-hour tour of the river which goes about 20 minutes in either direction, gives some highlights of the monuments lining the river but, most of all, in the heat of the afternoon it was a real relief to have cool breezes blowing. Well worth the money and, if you purchase the Seville Card (approx. $40 for a two-day card) the admission price is included along with free access to most monuments as well as the amusement park Isla Mágica. The card was also well worth the price.
I would definitely stay at the Hotel Becquer again.

"Clean & Well Managed Business Class Hotel"
Stayed for 2 nights in Mid-August 2005. Enjoyed the hotel although there is really nothing special about it. Nice rooms, pleasant staff, apealing lobby with garage parking available. Close to the Gay neighborhood. Many restaurants and bars close by. No in room internet access available... Internet terminal in the lobby but it is over priced at 3.25 EUR per 15 minutes. Bathrooms in room were large and functional. If you request a large bed it will be 2 beds pushed together.

"Good Hotel!"
Thoroughly enjoyed our week at Hotel Becquer. All round excellent room, breakfast and service. A nice touch was the afternoon room service when the beds were turned down and chocolate provided (see photos). Location is central and ideal for everything: shopping, sightseeing and tourist attractions. Cordoba is well worth a visit but go by the highspeed train (AVE) from Santa Justa Station - only a 40 minute journey.

"Wonderful hotel - highly recommended"
Excellent hotel in every way for the price we paid (£78 per night, double room). Our (non-smoking) room was large and airy with two balconies overlooking the street. Both it and the bathroom were spotlessly clean. We booked through Expedia and our booking said 'room only', but when we checked in we were told that our rate included the breakfast which was an excellent buffet. The hotel was convenient to the cathedral/Alcazar area, and also to the the Triana district on the other side of the river.
We got the airport bus, 2.30euro, and then walked to the hotel easily in 10 minutes. The weather in November was perfect with temperatures in the 70s. The tapas bar beside the hotel entrance was superb.
